Under the massive GCHQ spy centre in Cheltenham and behind a locked steel door three-quarters of a century old is a room full of ancient secrets. When Natasha Black starts asking the wrong people the wrong questions about it, she hits a hidden firewall. Suddenly somebody wants her dead, but she doesn’t know who and she doesn’t know why. A trail of events that began in the smoking ruins of Berlin in 1945 has reached the top of the British intelligence community and has somehow enmeshed her. On the run from her unseen enemies, she encounters rumours of lost Nazi computer technology, secret human experimentation, a vault of hidden treasure and a handsome assassin with a secret agenda. The odds are stacked against her, but Natasha has to make sense of it before the killers catch up with her.
